A view at an Ecological Park

Traditionally parks are areas of open spaces provided for recreation use. In its natural or semi-natural state, or planted; it’s set aside for human enjoyment or the protection of wildlife or natural habitats of the area. Taken to its logical extreme of “City Park,” could the Ecological Park model ultimately mean the end of the discrete urban park we have known these last 150 years?

A concern with the relationship between organisms and their environment and the detrimental effects of modern civilization has given a rise to two types of ecological parks: the Ecological Park and the Ecological Industrial Park.
The ecological park strives to realize on older vision of the city as a garden blurring the distinction between the two. Eco parks are built of recycled or less energy intensive materials, and make use of solar heating, natural cooling and ventilation.
